Week 2 Overview
You will learn how to express directions of an action and existence, how to describe something and all hiragana modifiers.
Day 6
- Grammar focus on negative form of past tense Verbs = V-masen deshita (οΌΆγΎγγγ§γγ)
- Grammar focus on verbs to go, to come, to go back (ikimas, kimas, kaerimas)
- Grammar focus on the particle markers for action sentences - he (γΈ) as the marker of direction of an action, de (γ§) as the marker of the means of transport, to (γ¨) as a marker of action with someone, and mo (γ) used with negative verbs to mean not.
- Express time in the past (this/last/next year, this/last/next month)
- Hiragana with voiced syllables (i.e. γ, γ, γ , γ°, γ±)
Day 7
- Grammar focus on the particle itsu (γγ€) meaning when (when an action occurs)
- Grammar focus on the future form
- Grammar focus on extending an invitation V-masen ka? (VγΎγγγ)
- Conversation focus - Asking someones age and replying your age (How old are you?)
- Hiragana with double consonant (small tsu γ£)
Day 8
- Grammar focus on adjectives in positive and negative form
- Grammar focus on the particle soshite (γγγ¦)
- Grammar focus on the particle ga (γ) as a marker to connect ideas that contrast
- Express “very” and “not very” with totemo (γ¨γ¦γ) and amari (γγΎγ)
- Hiragana with long sounds (γγ, γγ, γγ, γγ, γγ)
Day 9
- Grammar focus on how to conjugate an adjective with a noun
- Ask “what kind of”, using the particle donna (γ©γγͺ)
- Ask “which one” using the expression dore deska (γ©γγ§γγ)
- Grammar focus on the particle ne (γ) to express agreement/empathy
- Hiragana with contracted sounds (i.e. γγγγγ, γγ, γγ)
Day 10
- Express existence for living and non-living things using the verbs arimas and imas, and the particles ga (γ) and ni (γ«)
- Express the number of people staying in a place
- Grammar focus on the particles ya (γ), yo (γ), ne (γ)
- Hiragana with contracted sounds (i.e. γ‘γ, γ«γ, γ²γ, γ³γ, γ΄γ, γΏγ, γγ)
