Week 3 Overview

You will learn how to express what you like or you prefer, how to express reasons, and how to give or receive something. In addition, you will learn all katakana (46 characters).

Day 11 

1. Express likes with suki des (すき) and appraise skill with jouzu (じょうず)
2. Grammar focus on the particle ga (が) indicating the subject
3. Express “I understand” using wakarimas (わかります)
4. Grammar focus on the adverbs sukoshi (すこし), tada (ただ), yoku (よく), zenzen (ぜんぜん)
5. Vocabulary focus on food
6. First 10 katakana (ア, イ, ウ, エ, オ, カ, キ, ク, ケ, コ)

Day 12 

1. Grammar focus on the particle doushite (どうして) and kara (から) to explain a reason 
2. Grammar focus on the expression mashou with a verb (Vましょう) to make a proposal
3. Vocabulary focus on drinks
4. 10 Katakana (サ, シ, ス, セ, ソ, タ, チ, ツ, テ, ト)

Day 13 

1. Grammar focus on the particle de (で) + Verb to express means
2. Grammar focus on the use of verbs kaeshimas (かえします), agemas (あげます), oshiemas (おしえます)
3. Grammar focus on the particle ni (に) as the recipient of an action
4. Vocabulary focus on shops
5. 10 Katakana (ナ, ニ, ヌ, ネ, ノ, ハ, ヒ, フ, ヘ, ホ)

Day 14 

1. Grammar focus on the use of verbs karimas (かります), moraimas (もらいます), naraimas (ならいます)
2. Ask about quantities with ikutsu (いくつ) and use counters -mai (-まい) and -dai (-だい)
3. Grammar focus on the expression “ni shimas” (に します)
4. Vocabulary focus on clothes
5. 8 Katakana (マ, ミ, ム, メ, モ, ヤ, ユ, ヨ)

Day 15 

1. Grammar focus on the difference/or your preference of nouns using the expressions:
   - “Noun1 wa Noun2 yori A des” (N1 は N2 より A です)
   - “Noun1 to Noun2 dochira ga A deska” (N1 と N2 どちら が Aですか)
   - “Noun1 no hou ga A des” (Noun1 の ほう が A です)
2. Vocabulary focus on electronic products
3. 8 Katakana (ラ, リ, ル, レ, ロ, ワ, ヲ, ン)
4. Course test 1 - There will be a 30 question test that takes you through a random selection the material on the course that you have learned so far so we can check your progress.
